Privacy Policy
Juice Craft House
This policy explains how this application handles information and how to contact us about privacy.
Information we process
Juice Craft House stores your custom recipes, ingredient names, colours and nutrient values, juice journal dates, quantities, notes, draft blend, language, volume unit, daily goal and reminder preferences on your iPhone in a local SQLite database. The app contains an illustrative starter recipe catalogue, not personal history. Custom recipes, custom ingredients and journal entries are sent to our backend when a connection is available. Drafts and preferences remain local. An automatically generated installation identifier and a random installation secret authorize synchronization; the secret is held in this device’s Keychain and only its bcrypt hash is stored by the server. No name, email address or account is required. Requests to the API or this website necessarily expose network information such as IP address, request time, route and response status to hosting infrastructure. The app has no advertising or analytics SDK.
How we use information
Local data enables recipe building, approximate nutrient calculations, journal editing and period summaries while offline. Server copies support synchronization for this installation and retries after connection failures. Installation credentials restrict access to its records. Optional local notifications remind you at your chosen time. Infrastructure request information supports delivering and securing the service and diagnosing failures. Nutrient estimates are informational and are not medical advice or a personal dietary prescription.
Service providers and sharing
The application backend and PostgreSQL database run on Railway, which processes stored content and infrastructure request information to host the service. Apple’s operating system provides Keychain, local notifications and any device backups that you enable. Notifications are scheduled on the device; the app does not use a push notification provider. Opening this privacy website sends ordinary web requests to Railway. The app does not sell data, include advertising or tracking SDKs, send email, or share journal content with social networks. Application logs record startup, migration status and generic request error identifiers rather than journal payloads or installation secrets. Railway may keep its own infrastructure logs; no specific provider retention duration is asserted here.
Data retention
Personal records remain locally and in the active server database until you delete them. There is no automatic age-based expiry. Individual record deletion replaces the server content with a minimal identifier, timestamp and deletion marker so an offline retry cannot restore an old record. Historical recipes and journal entries embed the ingredient values that applied when saved; removing an ingredient from the picker does not rewrite those records. Full personal-data erasure removes the installation and its synchronized records from the active database after the device connects. Preferences and the device authorization key remain on the iPhone for continued use. Device backups may contain earlier local database copies according to your Apple backup settings. Infrastructure logs or provider-managed backup copies may persist according to the provider’s lifecycle; immediate erasure from such copies is not promised, and this app does not configure a separate backup archive.
Deleting your information
Use Settings to delete a journal entry, remove a custom recipe or ingredient, reset the journal, or erase all personal data. Full erasure clears custom recipes, custom ingredients, the draft and journal locally and queues deletion of the installation’s server data. If offline, the Settings synchronization status shows that server deletion is pending; reconnect and use Sync now to complete it. New saved records are disabled while that erasure is pending. Deleting the app alone is not a request to delete server copies. Without this installation’s device secret we cannot provide recovery or identify and authorize access to its private records. Existing Apple device backups are managed through your device and Apple settings.
Permissions and your choices
The only optional permission requested by the app is local notifications, requested when you turn on daily reminders. Reminders start disabled. You can disable them in the app or withdraw notification permission in iPhone Settings; recipe building, the journal and synchronization continue to work. The app does not request location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera or health database access. Network requests use the operating system’s normal internet connection without a separate permission prompt.
Your privacy rights
You can review and edit your recipes, ingredients and journal in the app and delete them using its controls. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of personal data, object to processing or raise a concern with your local data protection authority. For privacy questions contact basilvalebrook1991@icloud.com. This address is a public privacy contact, not an account, sign-in or in-app message service. Please do not send your installation secret. We may need sufficient information to verify a request without exposing another installation’s data.
Security
HTTPS protects transport to the public API. The app generates a separate cryptographically random secret for each installation and stores it in device-only Keychain storage. The server verifies its bcrypt hash and scopes every private record query to the authorized installation. Local SQLite writes use an atomic replacement and iOS file protection after first device unlock. Request validation and size, time and rate limits reduce misuse. The private database connection stays within Railway’s service network. No system is perfectly secure; access to your unlocked device or installation secret may allow access to your records. The service has no cross-device sign-in or recovery mechanism.
Children’s privacy
Juice Craft House is intended for adult home juice enthusiasts and is not directed at children. It does not ask for age or knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child supplied personal information, contact basilvalebrook1991@icloud.com so we can assess the request and appropriate deletion options.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when application behavior, processing or hosting changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. The current policy is available from Settings and at this public page without signing in or accepting cookies. Material changes will be reflected in the policy and, where appropriate, in an app update.
